I've got to work this out and I'd love ya'll's input! I'm thinking about moving again for next fall... My friend Liz Jenkins in Watertown wants me to move in with her. She owns a condominium and hasn't had a roommate because she's older, set in her ways, and has had problems with roommates in the past. But I LOVE living so close to school and ( Read more... )

I could be wrong but in reading your description of both, I saw a preference showing through from you. And it's the as mine.

But the thing is Holly, I think you could be happy in either location. You have that amazing capability.
But I think you'd be making it easier on yourself with the second location. It's all about priorities.

I agree with Tyson. Watertown sounds like a better situation, and a 20 minute commute really isn't that bad. It's like CGCC! ;) And being closer to the LDS church, friends, and temple will be really nice, but I was sold with the fact that you'll have a large kitchen AND a garden! I'm jealous in fact. And I think that the fact that you are "stuck at school during breaks" will just give you the opportunity to still have closer relationships with your school mates even though you'll be living further away.

That's my 2 cents.

one word. GARDEN

But seriously, I know I will be forever grateful to my LDS roommates and I wouldn't have given that up for anything. I have grown really close to my school friends especially the one's in my year and major, but I have had a FAMILY with my ward and my roommates. I know it sounds silly (and I'm sure you know all of this) but I'm more sad to leave Flagstaff because of the people in my ward than anyone else.

My vote: LDS Roommate who has a garden....

More than anything, it makes me happy that both Heidi and Kaci value gardens and kitchens the way I do! Only LDS girls and mature hippies in their 20's would even consider these in making a decision!

Thank you all for your input. Even though I have felt so close to my non-member roommates this past year, I know it will be so nice to live with a member. Thank you for helping me see clearly.

I can't wait to see you all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
