About this: Random wild thought arising from convo with
chanrae about men and showers. Somehow I'm not sure how it turned into a Seungri-centric fic cos he's my least favourite member.
Two bathrooms. Five (very looks-conscious) guys. Anyone can do the math, really.
"I'm calling dibs on the bathroom," Seungri pipes up in the car before they have even left YG premises.
"And I'm taking the other," chips in Seunghyun quickly, never one to lose in childish games and silly pursuits like the daily bathroom races.
"Jiyeon is coming over." Jiyong doesn't even look up from examining his fingernails.
The tidbit of information has Seunghyun frowning, a little consternation lining the famously dark brows. "Then whoever wants can go first."
"She's staying over," Jiyong postscripts, now leaning back and staring out the window.
"I don't care, I'll go when you two've gone to bed then."
Seungri snorts, "You're such a wuss, hyung. What are you afraid of, that she's gonna walk in on you while the door is locked? She's not coming to see you, she's here for Jiyongie hyung!"
"You're a good one to talk," Youngbae's amused voice drifts in from the front of the car. "You on the other hand probably can't wait for her to do that to you."
"Hyung," Seungri eyes the back of the passenger seat reproachfully. "What kind of person do you take me for? I would never do that to Jiyongie-hyung."
"Really?" Jiyong's alive now. "So what was that all about the last time she came? You took a SECOND bath right before she arrived, and instead of coming out dressed like usual you came out in a towel pretending that you'd forgotten your clothes in the bedroom…"
"It wasn't like that, hyung!" protests Seungri awkwardly, "I really left the stuff in the bedroom! And it was hot, it was summer - lots of people take baths twice a day in summer! It's totally normal!"
"But Seungri, you didn't shower before going to bed yesterday," Daesung points out innocently. Perhaps a tad too innocently.
"That, that… that was cos I was too tired," Seungri is quick to defend himself. "I made up for it this morning!"
"And took a damned long time about it, too," Youngbae grumbles, recalling how his usual morning routine was ruined.
"I have more hair to shampoo than you, hyung," states Seungri earnestly.
"Anyway, I'm gonna shower first," declares Jiyong, "because Jiyeon is coming over so I need to be done before she gets here."
The car glides to a stop in the carpark of their apartment building and Jiyong is out of the car before the engine is even killed, leaving the rest of the band to lock up and trail after.
Youngbae muscles out of the elevator ahead of everyone else, beelining for the second bathroom while Seungri whines and tries to put down everything his hyungs have made him carry out of the car without looking at Seunghyun who's taunting him with silly faces since he doesn't have anything better to do while waiting for his turn in the bathroom.
Daesung merely laughs and disappears into his bedroom.
Jiyeon arrives, and it's up to Seungri to answer the door because as Seunghyun says "you don't expect your hyung to get it, do you?"
"Uh, ah - annyeonghaseyo," he greets the pretty girl at the door with a wide smile and the most suave bow he can muster, but she has eyes only for the perfectly-timed towel-clad Jiyong who emerges from the bathroom right at that moment to usher her to his bedroom. Seungri doesn't miss the way Jiyong steers her clear of Seungri, putting his own body between them with what might be called a glare if it had lasted any longer than the split second it did.
Well, at least the bathroom would be -
Occupied.
He turns the handle futilely one more time in disbelief and whirls around to see if Seunghyun was the one behind it. Nope, the eldest is tapping his fingers in time to some MV showing on television.
"Daebakiya~" comes the voice from within, the lyric doubtless chosen to rub salt into injury.
"Ah, hyung~!" whines the youngest, a refrain he despises but finds himself using all too often on days like today.
He's treated to chortles and the smooth refrain of Somsatang, with obviously no intention of hurrying. Seungri takes a breath and decides he might have more luck waiting on Youngbae's bathroom.
Youngbae, however, displays no sense of urgency whatsoever, and Seungri can imagine his hyung doing the soap dance or whatever it is he does inside the bathroom. He has a spiteful impulse to turn off the bathroom light to get him out sooner, but is afraid of what consequences might follow in the days to come.
As he stands pondering his prank, he's greeted by a surprise - Seunghyun rounds the corner into the kitchen with his pile of clean clothing and towel.
"Hyung! Didn't you say…"
"What did I say," huffs the older man. "I said I'd wait till the coast is clear, it's not gonna get any clearer for a while now. And I need to go."
There's no arguing with Seunghyun, and Seungri knows it. He is the eldest in the house, even if Jiyong is the leader.
"Yes, hyung, of course hyung should go first," he finds himself spouting.Youngbae exits the bathroom humming in due course, and Seunghyun zips in without so much as giving Seungri a glance.
Seungri lets out a sigh, sinks onto a chair in the dining area and hangs his head, missing the days when he was the oldest and the only boy living with his family. His wallow in self-pity is interrupted by a door opening.
Footsteps down the hall and Jiyeon appears from the bedrooms, disappears into the kitchen, then reappears - obviously checking if any bathrooms are available.
Another competitor.
Seungri loves competition - but not in these kinds of games.
oh and say hi to jiyeon ㅋㅋㅋ
