Okay, so I wrote about this on my Myspace blog, but I thought I'd write about it on LJ too--just to update everyone on my job searching plight

I think it went pretty well. They're apparently interviewing 12 other people for the position--and they said that a person's writing ability is going to be weighed more heavily than their office abilities. I think I gave a decent interview and I have to submit a writing sample and come up with some creative answers to these questions they gave me and have them emailed to them by Wednesday... I'm really hoping I get this job. But I'm going to keep looking and applying to other places, so that I don't jinx myself out of this job.
plus i work sort of by the airport and it is not too bad, it usually takes 15-20 minutes to get there from my house, but the good thing is the traffic is always bad going west in the morning, and east after work, so if you are driving east to work there is hardly any traffic, and you can laugh at the fools trying to go into portland
Hehe yeah, their building is next door to the embassy suites at the airport. but the drive wasn't that bad, it took about as long as it did to drive from Salem to the Barnes and Noble in Hillsboro. So I'm used to the commute. That's good, I'm trying to decide whether or not, if I get the job, I should drive or buy a monthly Tri-Met pass and ride the Max.
Well, I would avoid driving if I could. I get so stressed out about the ever drivers! But I think people are crazier up here than in Portland. You can listen to Harry Potter on CD, you can knit, you can meditate--with your eyes closed! I'm a nanny, and will need my car to drive the kids, plus, bus service sucks near where I work, so...I say yes to the metro! And GOOD LUCK! I know how hard job searching is---you get all excited about the first good job you try for, and then you don't get it and then it feels like your luck is bad, but I firmly believe that the world will aline, and that when the job comes along that is for you, you will get it!! Positive mind!
Haha, I think it'll depend on how long the commute is. I don't think I could listen to a book on audio, I probably would start thinking about other things and not pay attention. I don't know how to knit. Meditating on the MAX might be a weird thing to do, I don't know. Lol. Anyway... Portland has a pretty good public transportation system--and they're adding new lines that I think are supposed to be open this summer. They're adding 1 line that connects downtown to Clackamas in East Portland--meaning I could get to the Clackamas Town Center mall without having to drive! And they're adding another line that connects Portland to Milwaukee in way east Portland. I don't think I'd utilize that one very often, there's nothing in that direction I would need. But they're adding a final line that runs alongside the main highway that goes to Beaverton/Hillsboro areas, and that would be way convienent, because that highway is packed during most parts of the day
