So I came back from Burning Man with an urgent desire to learn how to hula hoop. I just ordered a hula hoop, specifically The SuperStar II, which is named after my friend Star and made by one of her friends. And how nice it is that my friend Star will be with me in some way in this endeavor, which will surely involve me falling over and hitting

i think hula hooping is going to be next big trend in working out. my personal trainer teaches a hula hooping class at UCLA and also performs by hula hooping with fire at the Roxy and other Sunset Strip clubs. she's so rad. She looks like a buff, platinum blonde pin-up girl who could totally kick your ass.

Hey Cyn, I was reading your blog on hooping.org and wanted to let you know that I live in the San Diego area and actually teach hoopdancing classes, both privately and publicly, and if you want help with some of your "coordination issues" I could probably lend some assistance. I am normally super clumsy and constantly running into things, but find that hooping has totally helped me with that. Let me know if you would be interested in taking a class, or just generally with hooping help. There are also some awesome tutorials on youtube by a girl named SaFire.
