My gyno. called today while I was at work. They found abnormal cells in my cervix lining due to the results of my recent Pap smear. They aren't precancerous or cancerous. Sometimes abnormal cells just go away without treatment. However, they want to do a cystoscopy, which means they will insert a tube with a lens and a light into the bladder ( Read more... )

I have hpv. The not high risk kind. I decided that it was really not a big deal. Since it is a kind that you can't even get warts from. It just kind of lives in your body. I'm not worried about it at all.

I told my boyfriend that he had probably given it to me and he flipped out and felt SO guilty. And I was like "hon, really.. it's okay. This is like... the most nothing of sti's you can get. Especially if it isn't the high risk variety."

And since I don't plan on being with anyone other than him again... I'm just not too concerned.

*hug* I'm here, darling, don't worry. I'm sure everything will be ok, I had a similar call a year ago. They did a biopsy to me, not the same thing, but yeah...*hug* I feel ya. If you need anything, anything at all, I moved into my apartment, it's not far from SLU and you're always welcome.

Get the other two shots anyway. I have HPV (like everyone else) and my doctor told me to get the shots afterward just the same, because there are like 20 other strains of it and you don't need MORE than one of em to deal with.

And rub the hell out of those shots after you get em. My arm was bruised and sore for weeks at the injection site!

Mine wasn't bad during the first injection, but thanks for the tip! I will continue to get the vaccine then. Thanks!
