HANA KIMI CHARACTERS INTRODUCTION
Lu Rui Xi aka Ella Chen
Ruixi, who is 18 years old, grew up in America. Ever since she caught Quan on the television three years ago, she grew attracted to him. Her idolizing him led her to an all-boys boarding school in Taiwan so as to be in the same school as her idol. She kept her true identity a secret and dressed up as a boy. To her amazement, not only has she attended the same class as Quan, but they shared the same room too. As time goes by, Ruixi realised that she is falling deep in love with Quan, but how is she supposed to confess her feelings to him when she is appearing as a guy before him?
Zuo Yi Quan aka Wu Chun
Quan is an admirable sportsman who excels in high-jump. Due to a car accident in Grade 9, he had to quit jumping. Ruixi's 'never-admit-defeat' belief encouraged him to regain his confidence to step into the athletic world once again. He had in fact found out about Ruixi's real identity, but he did not reveal her secret to anyone. Ruixi's unconscientiousness and optimism often led to the danger of exposing her identity; Quan acts as her warrior and protects her from all possible dangers. He realised his feelings for Ruixi after a school event and despite him looking cool and aloof, he is bothered by the fact that whether Ruixi feels the same for him. To make matter worse, Ruixi beguiles other guys such as Xiuyi & Jinghan, and this makes him anxious and jealous.
Jin Xiu Yi aka Jiro Wang
Being an avid soccer fan, Xiuyi had made a pact with a childhood friend that they would both play in the Worldcup when both of them grew up. Upon meeting Ruixi, he is captivated by Ruixi's feminine side. Not knowing that she is in fact a girl, he was drowned in distress as he could not accept the fact that he could be a gay. Hence, he agreed to date his admirer so as to avoid the nagging feelings inside him. However, Xiuyi came to realise that he could no longer escape his feelings for Ruixi and soon, he is entangled in a love triangle with Ruixi and Quan.
Li Si Nan aka Tang Yu Zhe
Nan, who is a senior and also the chief resident advisor of the second hall, is infamous for being a player. His good looks and great personality charmed plenty of girls. Yet, unknown to others, he is deeply hurt from a past relationship and that is what caused him to become a player. As a leader of the second residential hall, he is always calm and has a great analytical skill which enables him to become an excellent team player. Hence, he is popular among his schoolmates.
Mei Tian aka Tang Zhi Ping
He is the school doctor (and a gay), and also Nan's uncle. Like Quan, he has since found out about Ruixi's identity but chose to keep it a secret from the school. Though he sounded crude at times, he is always offering Ruixi a helping hand whenever she encountered any problems. Thus, Ruixi developed a habit of looking for Doctor Mei Tian at the sick bay whenever she needs a listening ear.
Shen Le aka Luan Jing Tian
As a high-jumper, he is Quan's strongest rival. Upon learning that Quan is giving up high-jump, he challenged Quan to stand to his feet again and return to high-jumping. His arrogance annoyed Ruixi. However, he is filled with joy when he learned that Quan decided to return to the field.
Wang Tian Shi aka Zhang Hao Ming
He is not only the chief residential advisor of the first hall, but also the president of the taekwando club. He is also popular among his schoolmates. He has a fiancee from a girls school and has kept it a secret until the annul dance night...
Mei Ying Hua
Nan's mother; sister of Doctor Mei Tian. She knew about Ruixi's real identity and supported her decision to stay in Ying Kai Boys School.
Qiu Ye aka Duncan
A gay photographer. He is an ex-student of Ying Kai and has always been attracted to Meitian. On one occasion, he spotted a picture of Ruixi; Quan, Xiuyi and Nan on a magazine and decided to invite them to his studio for photoshoots. Because Quan rejected his offer numerous time, Qiu Ye deliberately neared Ruixi so as to make him jealous. In the end, Quan reluctantly accepted his offer...
