My ma rightly pointed out that this might drive people to start doing stem cell research and ignore the pro-life brigade, due to his high profile. Which would be a good thing. On the other hand - that doesn't detract from this situation being a true tragedy. Especially seeing as the guy wanted to live and was so determined. Sometimes in a situation like this you can say 'it was a release' and so on. That isn't applicable here.
