Today Sydney and I
show show show
So my brother drove us down to Buffalo Records to see the "folk/indie-outbreak" with The Robot Ate Me and Drew Danburry. And to our surprise there was two other performers there as well. John said that because it was a daytime show there wasn't much of a turnout. But it was cute. Because Buffalo is just cute and the whole atmosphere is great.
Im gonna go through everyone we saw. You don't need to read it. I just want it to remember because it was fun and it gave me the warm fuzzies.
The first guy was a little chubby man with a beard who screamed a lot but it was cute, and his music was good. He sang so fast sometimes it sounded like a rap song. But guess what? I forgot his name. He only played 3 songs but they were intense and consisted of a ton of yelling.
The second guy was Mason Lindaul [shown above in a really blurry photo] who was seriously only about two inches taller than I and had cute little homemade bermudas and a cute little shirt and extremely oily hair and this brown beanie he threw off before he even started singing the first line of the first song. Everytime he got to a part in a song where he needed to shout a little bit and get all "intense" and would stand up on his tippy toes. It made me happy beacuse I'm little like him. He got really into his music and it just made people kind of stare and really listen. And poor little thing was strumming so hard that his fingers started bleeding and there was blood all over the strings. He had bad little teeth, but he was adorable and extremely friendly and he clapped and tapped his sandles and his hands with the other performers. I bought his album and it's really sad and depressing. But that's okay.
The next was Ryland Bouchard from The Robot Ate Me who was so pleasant and friendly. He told everyone to gather around closer so everyone did and we were all squished and he was just sitting on the ground about a foot away from everyone. He sang pretty songs and when he played Drew's face lit up, it was cute. People clapped along and jingled keys and he had a sing along song about apricot tea and he had some people beat-box and. He giggled after every song. He was a lot of fun. And he seemed like the most gentle, easy going man ever.
And last but certainly not least there was Drew Danburry! [who is the lengthy one shown above]. He looks funky in that picture but really he was adorable in a weird way. He really likes fanny-packs and he wore a shirt that said "If you rock it in the front, is it still a fanny-pack?" It made me laugh. He was seriously the funniest person ever though. And he had strange ugly feet :) He sang some off his older album, and then sang a bunch of off the one I have and it was good. He was soo much fun, and he made everyone get up and do jump-kicks!!! He was the best at it though. And everyone clapped along and Mason grabbed some sandles and did some drum beats on a guitar case. It was fun fun. And he told us about his 4th of July and how he spent it with some mexican family he didn't even know. I know I have more to say about him but I'm lacking in words.
Overall, It was super fun and everyone ,and I'm not lying when I say everyone, was sooo extremely friendly. We got to talk to all of them afterwards and they were all so nice and nice! We also concluded that all these folk-folks either have:
- Not extremely long, but somewhat long greasy hair
- Bad teeth
- Funny pants they make into shorts
- no shoes at all and dirty feet, or rainbow sandles. No closed shoes.
- Beards
And we found out that in just two hours they were playing in Santa Barbara at morning glory! We were close to going but we couldn't make it. That'sss okkayy.
oh yeah! i saw war of the worlds yesterday and I cried 6 times. It was spooky and scary and it made me cry too much but I liked it.
And tonight, for some reason was strangely emotional. As stupid and lame as that sounds. The way various people were talking about various things. It made me cry, but not because I was sad but just because...I really have no idea. I don't know what else to say about that at all. I've been crying about everything lately. Like everything. But not because I'm depressed or anything because I most certainly am not and everything that was bugging me earlier is done now, but I just cry over little things people say [like friendly things] and everything. I'm just a cry-baby but my mom said it runs in the family or something. my mom said I got taller but my boobs shrank. I'm back to an A. life is funny. and not something to take all that seriously at certain times.
