To hate is to be juvenile, no? At least that's the way I see it. What good comes of hating people who have done you wrong? Nothing. It doesn't make them stop. It doesn't make them change. On the same token, what good comes of forgiving people who have done you wrong? The self-satisfaction that you are the better person? What if you factor into that

Just because you forgive doesn't mean you have to forget. If you just forgive and forget nothing is learned.

Today I was filling out an application for a scholarship and they asked the question, "Please describe how and when any family or personal curcumstances have affected your achievement or your participation in school or community activities". How am I supposed to answer that? I know what has distracted me, but my distractions are very personal, and I doubt the scholarship committee really wants to know all of the details. Ultimately I'm at a loss for what to put. My distractions, as yours, are very real. Yet they remain silent.
