I hate my parents. They're so over-protective...I can't go anywhere with a guy alone. It has to be in a group with a girl she knows or my brother. I hate that it's because of my stupid big brother, Tyrone...why did I have to be the baby? Why do I have to be the baby girl? I know how you feel. Older brothers precident every experience in the wrong way....I want to be nosy and ask who this is, but I'm reserved. Good luck with it all. And listen to the Will Smith song "Parents Just Don't Understand."

I know exatly how you feel! My mom tells me to be more social but wont take me anywhere! Its comfusing! We should understand that they are just being protective but they should understand we have to learn things for ourselves.

Yeah, that's really how it is. And I'm always with guys, always, so it really sucks that I can't go anywhere with them! Argh.

Oh Lisa, I know exactly how you feel. It took the first 4 months of David and I's relationship for my mother to finally let him and I do anything by ourselves. It took her a month to let me do things in groups. I understand, it totally blows. I had to bitch to my mom about how she couldn't keep me to herself my entire life and how I had to grow up at some point. Unfortunately, all parents are like that. And if you want, I wouldn't mind at all going on those goddamn "group dates" with you and your darling. But whatever, I just wanted to let you know that you aren't the only one cursed with evil parents...........it's a trait that comes with them all.

It's ok sweetie, I've found that if you let your parents get to know the guy, they like him a lot better. And they think all seniors are about is sex, but then they refuse to think that their son will soon be a senior...hmm...but yeah, they've gotten to know brandon really well and now they want me to do everything with him and it's reversed! but it will get better, and we will go on group/double dates with you if you want, i'd love to meet your man. Oh and if you want to go out w/ him alone just tell your parents you're out w/ me and i'll cover for ya, don't worry. I LOVE YOU, remember that! muah!
