finally, another post!

I am definitely scrapping the bottom of the bucket for things to write about.  I am not good at posting and I usually only post because I am either avoiding studying or cleaning…and at this moment I am evading both, therefore posting is imperative.   I could write about all the quirky thoughts I have in my head at this moment but it seems like that ( Read more... )

There is a quote you might like: Everyday is a choice. I can choose to be happy or I can choose to be unhappy.

Those people that are miserable with their lives are just scared. They choose to be unhappy and they choose to stay where they are b/c it is a safe bet.

Life is scary. Hell it is really frightening, but just remember that we, especially, me are always here for you. I shall catch you when you fall and protect you from the monsters under the bed. You will be wonderful. You have so many great talents and life will be great.

Please let me know soon about your time abroad so that I can plan accordingly.

Love ya sexy gurl!

I used to get freaked out about the same kind of stuff, Corrie. Was I really happy with what I was studying? Was it going to take me to the places that I wanted to go later in life?

I got some great advice from one of my administrators at the Crisis Center. I had been telling her how I was nervous about doing grad. school and didn't know if I would be ready for it or if I would get in, or, most importantly, if I would be happy. All she said to me was "why the hell are you in such a hurry?"

She was exactly right. I realized that my constant push towards grad. school (and all the anxiety that it was causing me) was all self-imposed.

You are a wonderful and beautiful person. Do what feels right. Take your time, you're young. Don't get so caught up in where you want to be that you don't get to enjoy where you are. As a friend of mine says "Time only exists on your wrist."

I am a strong believer that our mistakes shove us in the right direstion, inevitably. We allow ourselves to choose paths that we believe to be right for us and, whether or not we are right, we learn. We learn every single day. About ourselves. About others. Every path we choose and every decision we make mold us into who were are to become. Whether or not you are happy depends on whether or not you follow your heart. If you go where your heart leads, wrong paths or not, you will learn and grow and be happy with the decisions you make. And have no regrets.

Hey Corrie!
This is Caroline, and I just wanted to say that I always toss and turn about whether I made the perfect decision to and it makes me feel better that you said you do too. Also, Sex and the City always has very inspiring quotes as I have noticed lately when I watched it.
