I just got a new user picture. I forgot how much I love Edgar Degas. I don't know if it's just because of the whole ballet thing, or his style and emotion also, or just a mix of both. But I love his paintings. They always make me so happy and just love life. He paints everyday acts in a dancer's life, away from the glitz and glam. Conveying real

An overanalysis is always wonderful

I was just talking about that in Theory of Knowledge today (this is Morgan, I do nothave a livejournal, so I'm anonymous/listless). We were talking about how a beautiful piece of art work possesses extremes, in some sense. For example, simplicity over complexity. Degas is able to capture both into your icon piece. Also, even though there can be "universal" beauty, it is because it can be personalized as a whole. Over analyzing is FUN!
