Much too rude

There is something very wrong in the way I'm building my relationships with my students. Just the other day, a couple of them came and asked for extra lessons with me. I agreed and left it to them to decide the time and venue for the lesson. So, it was decided that we were going to meet at 9am in school for the lesson ( Read more... )

omg, i didn't even read this entry until the sister told me when she got home.
i say leave them to their own devices then they will remember that they didn't bother coming for ur extra classes when they fail... hah.

hmmm you shd have left earlier though I know you care and want the best for your students. They had the initiative to ask for extra lessons which is good, but not being able to keep up to it is another thing. Which basically means, "Just talk but no action."

But sometimes, your time is precious as well.

aiyah. having irresposnible students does not make you a bad teacher. If that were the case, we would not have any good teachers anymore. You choose to not get angry and I think that's a wise choice. Hopefully your students will feel guilty enough on their own.
