Go to sleep, you little baby

Go to sleep, you little baby

She's long gone with her red shoes on

Didn't leave nobody but the baby

You're a sweet little baby

You're a sweet little baby

You and me and the devil makes three

Gonna be my ever-lovin' baby...

Oh, this feels good.  When I am spent, I like to push myself just a little further; throw myself ( Read more... )

You never cease to amaze me.
Nothing anyone said coud rowse me from this Marianas Trench of a funk that I have been in over the past few days but just words from you on a screen makes it disappear like a whisp of smoke.
I'd like to actually tell you about it but not here.

I used "deep as the Marianas Trench" myself recently! Great minds do think alike.

Sorry you're down. Write me about it - castillepropaganda@yahoo.com. Always happy to listen.

Love you.
Case.

wow. :) i wish i was someone's muse.....or at least that i had one for myself right now....kind of hard to write interesting lyrics without some sort of a muse......

Drink up baby down.
Mmm, are you in or are you out?
Leave your things behind,
'Cuz it's all going off without you.
'Scuze me, too busy,
You're writing your tragedy.
These mishaps, your bubble wrap, when,
You've no idea what you're like...

Muses are wonderful beings. And yes, I find it so difficult - damned near impossible - to write worth a scrap without one.

I like this - drink up baby down...

Especially "these mishaps, your bubble wrap..."

Toothy! Gimme more!

it's actually a song by the artist frou frou. she's fucking amazing...you post reminded me of that song....

yeah...i can write angry, vitriolic lyrics without any specific one....but that is just because there are so many non-specific ones floating around....

I've never heard of Frou Frou; I'll have to check her out. What's her story? I love the lyrics!

Vitriol can defnitely be fun, with or without Muse. Most of my vitriol comes when I am sans Muse. With Muse, life takes on a soft, romantic patina. The most mundane of tasks suddenly has a veneer of romance to it. I get goofy; I'm sure I could wax romantic on my desktop stapler.

I may have to try that. =)

you know, sometimes, I think you can read little bits of my mind.

here's why...

1.) my fave song on the "O Brother" soundtrack... (isn't it heavenly?)
2.) my fave Egyptian goddess that everyone says "Who?" about. Nut (or Nutt, I also prefer the one "t" spelling).

And the rest is poetry. Beautiful. You rock.

It has been known to happen - reading bits of minds, that is!

YAY NUT!!! I LOVE that myth. Love it love it love it eat it with a spoon.

And that song, too. Yes - it's absolutely haunting.

Hey! I tried to call you yesterday about 6pm your time. Did you get the message? Who's that boy with your cell phone?
