There are so many horror stories about getting along with stepparents, and I'm grateful that I have a good stepmom. While she and I don't have a close relationship, it's definitely not acrimonious, and she's been so good for my dad over the past thirteen years. Congrats to your dad, and J, and you!

The title Step-mom will forever be replaced with other Mom. While I did not know my mom growing up I was blessed to have an Aunt who stood by me and showed me what a mom was. I can not remember when I started thinking of her as my mom and there is very few others that I hold with the same love and respect as I do her so please know what you mean to me that I ask you to share the title.
