All of the little sisters of my co-workers are hung up on these books. I'm seriously all about them, enough to blow $40 on the next 2 books since they haven't been released in paperback yet for half the price. You'll fall in love with Edward.
I haven't heard of the Uglies series, but I'll look into it. I love when people make me a reading list ^_^
When I finish the last of the Twilight books I'll probably look into The Host, but I have a history of loving one series by an author, then hating everything else they do if it's in any way different.
Go read Twilight. Quote it and scare the shit out of your girls. Worked on a little girl who saw me carrying my copy down the street. She looked like her mom had just said "Fo'Rizzle". That "old people can't like this stuff!! No one understands me and they're trying too hard!!" look.
