Earlier in the year after months of counseling and digging into my family history, I was "diagnosed" with clinical depression. I'm still in denial.
When I'm in a funk my behavior is pretty consistant. When I'm not actively engaged with someone or something (only because I HAVE TO BE), then I'm sleeping. When I am out and about, I retreat into my own little inner world. this means that when I'm driving I tend to do two things: run red lights or stop at green lights. I try not to drive when I'm not feeling too hot.
Could be. What are you thinking about, if not consciously then unconsciously? Your wheels are obviously not in there here and now if you are sailing through red lights and driving up one way streets. (Wow, those traffic examples feel so...metaphorical.)
It's a conscious effort for me to stay in the here and now. That's why I have my checklists and schedule. I don't always perfectly adhere but at least I have some kind of a roadmap so I don't completely get lost during my day.
