I was in Kerala recently (didn't really get to do anything, unforch) and want to go back soon. Want, in fact, to go to Periyar. Hooray for wildlife conservation, although actually looking at numbers of tiger populations is very depressing. What do you think is a good time for me to visit?

Hmmm... I think it's supposed to be good all year round, but especially post monsoon. but we had good time now... not too hot, not rainy.

Lovely pictures. I was in Kerala in October, but it rained the entire time I was there, and the only pictures I got where random ones of the trees in the backyard of the place we stayed, lol!

Periyar looks amazing! I'm going to put that on the to-do list for our next trip to India.

They're just huge thick cotton sock like things that come up till your knee... keeps away the leeches:)
