[I've stopped trying to come up with reasons Canada keeps stopping by. Just...insert something here. He thinks about approaching Taiwan for a moment, but after realizing the windmill's gone...he decides just to stand in front of the sidewalk leading up to the house instead...looking down to his side, trying to think of a way to 1) approach Taiwan and 2) a way for him to deal with the Netherlands' permadroning.]

[Taiwan's still staring into her own lap, so for the moment - perhaps appropriately - she doesn't notice that Canada is standing there.]

[He inches forward a few steps then stops. Maybe he should just leave her alone...]

[At the slight sound of footsteps, Taiwan looks up. Of course she immediately mistakes Canada for America, and smiles a little. Her first impulse is to dash down the walkway and hug him, but she doesn't want to do anything awkward after that conversation with May Lee the other day. Instead, she settles for a small wave.]

[Even Prussia's observant enough to notice that the windmill's disappeared, but he hasn't quite put two and two together yet. He frowns when he sees Taiwan crying on her lawn, struggling with himself for a few minutes - he really hates talking to crying people, especially girls, he has no idea how to deal with it other than advising them not to be a sissy - but eventually heads over anyway.]

Man, you cry a lot. What's with you this time?

[Poor Taiwan. She is a pretty big crybaby, though.]

"Netherlands is gone."

[He wrinkles his brow and scowls. He's certainly not happy about this, but . . .]

What, again? What'd he do this time? Fucking bastard, I keep telling him to get me if he's planning to do something! Ugh, I'm going to kick his ass when he gets back!

[she stands near her 'mother', all dressed in black. Nothing unusual here.

[Reaches over to hold Saki's hand, covering her face with the other.]

[Doesn't say a word. She clenches Taiwan's hand in her own,closing her eyes, and letting her hair fall down her shoulders and in front of her face.]

[And she takes a deep breath. Trying to push away her usual nervous tone and replace it with her mothering one.]

...What happened?

Netherlands is gone. I... I think it's for good this time.

[Taiwan just shakes her head 'no' before looking up at America with tears at the edges of her eyes.]

"Yeah..."

[Rubs her eyes, blushing a little and trying to put on a brave face. She's kind of embarrassed to be crying in front of him.]

"His windmill is gone. It used to be right here in the front yard."
