Is this working? It feels so weird talking to a book.

Uh, hey! Everyone seems to use these, so since the rain's pretty much ruled out walking around today I thought I'd try it out. My name's Yuzu Tanikawa, and I'm new. It's all pretty unbelievable still, but... well, I guess I'm getting used to that. Things being free and available are huge ( Read more... )

second post, meeting the neighbors, not missing the demons, actually kind of lonely, missing my bffs

Radians. Tetrahedrons. Integers. They carry the weight of one yoctogram.

What does math have to do with what I asked?

Umm... Well... We talk with each other, either in person or over the journals. It's pretty easy to talk to each other over the journal, you know!

As for anything else... I guess that depends on what you like to do, wouldn't you say?

It does seem easy. I'm just way more used to cell phones and computers.

Most of what I like involves my friends, and none of them are here right now.

Oh, are you from one of those worlds where everyone can use computers?

You can just make new friends here, then!

Yeah, everyone does. Does that mean you aren't?

And that's true. [though it isn't the same at all.]

Er, for the most part we just... talk to people and do our daily tasks. Sometimes people organize festivals or parties.

I can handle talking to people, but that still doesn't sound like much to keep busy with.

Yeah, it's not.

What about finding a way home?

I know what you mean--I don't handle idleness well, either. What I do is try to strike a balance with activities, so I don't become bored. Do some training, go swimming or hiking, redecorate, meet new people--especially the latter.

Oh! I'm Rydia of Mist. I've been here for about five/six months and while I probably can't answer every question ever about this place, I can still answer quite a bit. So, don't be afraid to ask!

[sorry Rydia, all that is useful but she's distracted by the ending.]

Six months?

...yes, almost. Sometimes, it seems incredible that so much time has passed; other times, it drags out. I wish I had better news to give, but that's the way it is.

What do you like to do?

But staying here that long, even if time has stopped...

[But she can't mope like this. She has to stay strong, even if it gets harder and harder the longer she's stuck away from home.]

Just normal things. Shopping, hanging out with my friends, going to concerts and the movies...
