Supper if you're posh, tea if you're Northern and dinner if you're sane :)

I once read a book set in England. They called the last meal of the day "tea". So I added that to my list. As an afterthought, I added "other" in case there is something I missed.

Well, theres always "midnight feast" ;)

Only Northerners in England call it tea. I'm in the Midlands, so I can get away with either but dinner seems right. Tea is something you drink with dinner!!!

I have no idea. Doesn't the Queen have tea? Like a mid day snack with tea? I'm sure others have it too.

There is a TV commercial for Taco Bell that offers us a new meal; the fourth meal. The meal around midnight that one eats before going to bed.

Dinner is broiled fish and fresh vegetables.

Supper is steak and taters.

I'm never really sure what my last meal of the day is. Usually, it's a tube of yogurt or a granola bar at about 4 or 5am. so. There's no name for that.

yeah, i remember those days. i used to feel like the last meal i would eat in the day was breakfast.

let's say you're not working and get to eat all three meals in one day. what do you call the last meal of the day?

I think I use supper and dinner pretty much interchangeably.

Although it's always "Dinner" if it's a special occasion - Christmas Dinner, having someone over for Dinner, even Thanksgiving Dinner (which we have at 2 in the afternoon).
