once again, wonderful, fabulous pictures. and yes, i am totally with you on the only one typing loudly and everyone around staring at you. this is why i hate using computers at school. arrg!
The more i look at those photos of the John Lennon wall i do wonder whether or not we even went to the correct wall. Dammit. Explains our distaste for it though, if it was the wrong wall.
hmm, well, the wall was kind of in an obscure bit and it took us a while&a half to find...but there was a lot of overlapping graffiti which, if the better bits hadn't have been there, would have probably rendered it dissapointing! perhaps those bits weren't there? or maybe it was another wall...mystery! yep, went to the jewish quarter but got it all a bit wrong and ended up paying like £4 to get into the synagogue and then deciding not to pay the other £6 to see the rest as you couldn't take photos/had already paid for blooming synagogue. i thought the little road/alley and everything was very interesting though! i would have liked to have gone to terezin the ghetto about an hour away if we had time, but we didn't :( xx
thankyoou melissa! unfortunately, the only internet access i have is on school computers, hence my lack of updates! i always wonder...are people reading my entries over my shoulder and thinking "loser"? *paranoia!*
oh hello! i am so sorry to get back to you so late, i have been away from LJ for ages!! I stayed at Hostel Hlvkova Kolej (a Welcome Hostel). I have to admit, it isn't the nicest place to stay: very basic, 'double bed room' was NOT a double bed etc...but it is very cheap and very well situated, so i'd recommend it if you're only going to be sleeping there and not spending too much time there. Alternatively, i found some really cool sounding hostels -'Miss Sophie's' and 'Sir Toby's' that were more expensive, but sounded great, so perhaps check them out! xx
