Between Dir en grey's Twitter, Myspace, and all the whining I'm seeing on LJ, the past few days have been a huge reminder of why I spend so little time in online fan communities. Due to the limited number of performances in the upcoming US tour, most of the commentary consists of bitching and whining over how "unfair" it is that Dir will not be

But like I've told so many people on their LJ's:
The boys have been touring for HOW long? Now, you aren't in this situation, so you don't know the stress and exhaustion that they're going through. You say they're too skinny and need to eat a cheeseburger or two. This is true. They are too skinny. But you know what? Half of it is probably because they never break from touring.
They tour because they do what they love and they love their fans and want to keep them happy.
So why the fuck do any of you have any right being so selfish in saying they shouldn't "half-ass" a tour?! They aren't half-assing. In all honesty, I believe this is currently (with how much touring they're doing) the smartest idea they could have done ( ... )

Indeed, and well said.
Much as I love seeing them every year, and having multiple opportunities at all these different venues, I'm more than happy to travel and limit it to one place if it means they will take a damn break.
Last part of entry has been edited, as you reminded me of a couple points I wanted to make. Thank you.

But like seriously. Boo fucking hoo. STFU fantards. I can't see them because OMG THEY'RE NOTS TEH PLAYING IN BUMFUCK PA?! WHYYY SO UNFAAAIR.
No. It's not unfair. People just need to be more aware of the population of where THEY live according to other cities with a larger population of fans that show up. Though I WOULD expect them to show up in Boston, it doesn't really matter to me since I don't live there. I really doubt Diru give a shit that these wankers are BAWWWWWing over this. Seriously. I'd be thinking "get the fuck over it, at least I'm coming to your damn country."

It's a bit more convenient for me and i'm less scared of Boston subways, but again, they'll probably hit more places next year... Folks whine too much...
Though, if they want to come to the wilbur again... man, i was so close to the staaaage!

I still sleepy while writing that, but my point was supposed to be "get the fuck over it" to all those tards out there. You don't have a choice where they play, so don't act like you do.

Bot I am not whining as If I can go to the ny show, I'll try to
and I will AVOID the subway because there's buses to consider.
lovely buses that ride above ground instead of underground ground where it's dark and dank and smells of pee and there's the THIRD RAIL! That scary THIRD RAIL! AUGH!!!!
but yeah, those folks need to chill....

I remember how freaking happy I was when machine went to Paris. Hey it would have been better FOR ME for them to come to Spain but... at least they came to Europe =D

North American and European metal bands tend to come to Quebec City often. Iron Maiden is known to ♥ good ol' Quebec City. As well as Metallica.
I DO wish that my favourite Japanese artists tour this side of the country (Toronto and Montreal are East but more my way, ya know?), and if they don't come here, I look for a city that's close by. If I can't make it, I can't make it. It's not something I'll get my panties in a bunch over. It's not often Japanese (Asian in general) artists do a world tour.
To all who CAN go see DEG on this tour are lucky. Some of us don't have the chance to.
And baww at people going "WHY THE AGE RESTRICTION?!?!"
The last concerts I went to was back in 2003, seeing Iron Maiden for my 23rd birthday ( :D ) and Ozzy, so people should be damn happy they're ABLE to go to any concert. Period.
