I won NaNoWriMo.
National Novel Writing Month.
It means that in the past 30 days, I wrote a 50,000 word novel.
That = 1,700 words a day.
There's no "rankings", but apparently 80% of the people who sign up don't make it, so I feel pretty awesome about it.

Oh, I know about the whole thing.
I was just wondering if your novel was chosen or something. SO you win just by completing nanowrimo?

I don't like NaNoWriMo...
it's quantity over quality, which isn't necessarily a bad thing, but still.

I dunno. I see it as a confidence booster. A "yeah, you can do this" kind of thing.
It's the same with any kind of art form. It's way too easy just to tell yourself "this is too hard" and then you don't end up doing anything.
Of course, here I am doing NaNo two years in a row, so I guess that kind've defeats my point ^^;;
Hopefully the novel will end up pretty good after I edit though :D
