awww anna...first off...the feeling WILL pass. it just new place jitters. everybody gets them, no matter how 'brave' they are! and the whole thought of how deffinate and different this is just makes a person homesick and nervous.
second, i KNOW you're going to do amazing and blow all your proffesors away! and you'll make a bunch of new friends you'll practically forget about us...ok not forget us...just not feel as lonely.
and finally...if heaven forbid you prove me wrong on this...somehow...which i highly doubt...we're all just a phone call or a email away! :-)
in this hyperspeed and cyberspace world it is easier to stay in touch with other than every before!
i'll always be here if you need just to hear a familiar voice!
and i'll try to write often...even if its just a comment on myspace!
love you sweety! you'll done great!
♥ forever!

Don't worry. Wanna know something really weird? Over time as you get used to living there, it will feel like home. And an occasional email here and there to friends and family is enough to keep in touch, and you won't feel the need to drive back every weekend. College is the exact opportunity to be independant. I'm sure that once you settle in with classes and make some friends you'll find it to be your second home.

Also, I'm kinda interested to know if RIT dorms are better or nicer looking than UMass dorms, so if you have a way of posting up pictures, I'd love to see some!
