1. Your journal is interesting, and from it I derived that you're a pretty awesome person (by which I mean free-thinking) AND you live in Pottstown, which is a rare combination if there ever was one.
2. The color teal. I don't know why.
3. Oh, that you're yourself. This probably sounds multiple shades of cliche, but I mean it. Growing up in Pottstown, I only met a handful of people that challenged dominant social scripts. Your existence in that town and on earth in general makes me feel hopeful.
4. I clearly remember when you friended my journal...
5. psh, no.
6. I know this is a lot of Pottstown-related stuff, and this isn't really a you-centric question, but how do you deal with Rio in Pottstown schools? I went to Pottsgrove, and I'm curious as to how a neat kid like Rio truly fares in that environment, or if the environment is different than I remember Pgrove being.
7.

1. Cuz I knew you were at ACI.
2. I can't hear Anna Nalick and not think of you, and a lot of goddess-type things, but certainly not all. You were in my thoughts a lot when I read At The Root of This Longing.
3. How you let the process be the project-- you deal with things at your own pace and let yourself set your own expectations for yourself (at least in the way that I know you that's what I see).
4. The night that Lara, you, and I ate pancakes at my apartment and talked. It was the last dinner of that kind.
5. Ugh, fuck this question! If we were all like someone besides our own characters this world would be boring.
6. How do you integrate spirituality into your everyday life?
7.

1. If I am remembering correctly, we had just started to get to know each other through writer's voice and AIM when I friended you. It was around that same time that I ran into your mom at Goodwill and she suggested that we would get along, which I always thought was an odd coincidence. I friended you because we do "get along." One might even say we mesh well.
2. Oh, a long string of things, including but certainly not limited to: Metropolis (1927), New Jersey, Ayn Rand, and because of our faux Facebook connection and merely by association, the Adrienne Rich poem "Aunt Jennifer's Tigers." Julia Stiles. Every chain video store. Beach Party movies, and by association, the Mickey Mouse Club. Mustaches, and by association, the rodeo ( ... )

1. We were in orchestra together, and I liked you because you thought about things-- at first in a very John Milton-esque way, and later a way that is pure Chelsea.
2. After this winter break? Chocolate Peanut Butter Kandy Kakes. fuck yes!
3. You let yourself be and consider the expectations that others might have of you carefully, and after thoughtful evaluation do what will benefit you most in the moment. I envy this brand of genuine.
4. Your careful examination of the bowl we packed over christmas break and the following conversations.
5. no.
6. Do you align yourself politically/spiritually? Do these things align?
7. um...that one.

i love it! excellent prompt work. you have been diligent.

i love that you remember my careful examination of the bowl, hahahaha. i enjoy detail. and good insight on the john milton to the pure chelsea way. that's a good way to describe it.

to answer your question, i don't really align myself politically at all. i take separate issues and will stand for them, but in general i have a split personality political stance: sometimes i really want to advocate for the unfortunate, and other times i think isolation is bliss. i think politics are bullshit, but for people who politics can actually benefit, i think they are worthwhile.

spiritually, i am spiritual [duh], but how is uncertain. i would say just really open, as long as it's an overall humanistic philosophy. good question. what about you in that respect? i am curious.

peanut butter kandy kakes+ pizza = HELLL YES

1. We did marching band together my freshman (your senior) year of high school.
2. maroon! and the piccolo!
3. You're genuinely kind-- I don't think I've ever witnessed you passing judgement on anyone.
4. You would always get so into band spirit days. I remember that.
5. Ugh! no!
6. What exactly are you doing as an occupation right now?
7. This one. It's colorful, and not a bird.
