hello! my name is bailey.
I am a 20 year old art student from portland, maine.
this thanksgiving day, however, takes place in concord & exeter, nh.
oh god, good morning. this is me, waking up on my nana's couch.
this is, unfortunately, the time.
this is the first thing I see.
I find my sleepy brother en route to the bathroom. good morning marshall!
oh hello bathroom mirror. this is my bedhead. short hair is fun.
brush brush brush.
apply makeup & dress.
LOL @ the "finished" product.
I find dad downstairs, sitting in the dark like a creeper.
dad says good morning!
and we jump in the car and take off!
and stop for some coffee!
here we are at the golf cource. it is now 7:30 a.m.
unpack. poor phoebe dog has to stay in the car.
marshall hits some balls while dad socializes.
we look absolutely nothing alike. but we love each other, so that's good.
then we head inside to check the team rosters.
dad is still socializing and we marshall is being silly.
finally time to tee off. it's now about 8:30 a.m.
nine holes of this. plus many bloody marys and cigars.
marshall is an excellent caddy.
time to go to thanksgiving lunch with the rest of the family!
oh yes, this is a fancy restaurant. thank you nana for picking such a classy place.
this "big buck hunter" game is literally right next to our table.
I honestly have no idea why she is so attached to this place. it is so trashy.
but god forbid we don't have thanksgiving lunch at allen's of boscawen.
(bonus information: the people at the table next to us were wearing overalls.)
I get the "buffet" and eat this.
this was my spoon. gross. glad I didn't need to use it.
nana and aunt jan don't know they are on the internets now.
marshall finds a shotgun shell in the parking lot as we're leaving.
oh yeah, it's a nice restaurant.
we drive back to nana's house in concord.
and watch t.v. in aunt jan's basement apartment for a while.
and finally mum and I drive back to our house in exeter.
but mom is not happy to realize we are locked out.
we have to wait for the boys to get home to let us in.
at long last, we are home. and there are plenty of bottles of nouveau on the kitchen counter.
but I don't even care. I am so tired.
I put my nightgown on and head to the living room to relax and watch some t.v.
