Yesterday we went to the tree farm to cut Serena's 1st Xmas tree. Went to one farm and didn't find anything. Seemed like all the good ones were taken last year. May have to wait a few years til we go back to that one. Ended up at another farm that had huge noble firs and lots of them. It was funny to watch Bryan cutting it down. After much debating, I hit the mall for day after Thanksgiving sales. It wasn't so bad. I got a good parking space and quick and the crowd wasn't so crazy. Just wish I had money to spend (DAMN YOU EBAY!!). I did pick up gifts for Bryan and Serena...and myself ( Read more... )

I love this time of year!!

I'd love it even more if we were back home. =( I'm excited to watch the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade with Serena. She'll probably be more interested in something else. That's okay. Hope to make it some kind of tradition with her since we aren't with family to enjoy some good homecooking!!

Looks like I'm on the road to recovery. I still can't hear very well and with the cold, dry weather we have, my nose will probably be messed up for a while. At least I got to get some good rest this afternoon. Bryan & Rena went out leaving me...HOME ALONE!! That was nice ( Read more... )
