Brandon will be returning to the United States on April 19, 2004 on a flight that leaves from Koala Lumpur in Malaysia. Can I express my excitement?????? When I come home will be the first time I have seen him in 9 months. That must be some sort of record of loyalty for both of us. Gosh, I love him so much and I am so excited to see him so soon!

So yesterday was the first day of Fallas. It was what they call the Plantá, or when they set up the actual structures throughout the different neighborhoods in Valencia. Today is the first day of Fallas, and for this reason, I do not want to do anything, except for party. I had class today, and that was interesting. It was obvious none of us wanted to be there. Oh well. It's FALLAS! This is time for the Valencians to forget about the horrible things that happened last week, and enjoy being Spanish. I can't wait!

PSOE!!! The socialist party has taken over power in the Spanish government for the first time in 8 years. The people have spoken. They wanted a change, and they got it. You know why? I have been reading "El Pais", "Las Provincias" and "La Razon" (all newspapers) in addition to watching tv. I am so incredibly touched by the outreach here in Spain. 11 million people took the streets. Today at noon, we went outside Galileo to observe a "moment of silence". This "moment" turned into literally 15 minutes. Nobody even moved the entire time.
