Fried Rice for Lena~

This is a post completely unrelated to any of my writing. But I told Lena that I would make fried rice and give her the recipe with step-by-step instructions and pictures :3


What you'll need:
1 Cup cooked short grain rice
Vegetables - Any kind are find, but these are what I used:
1 Carrot - peeled and finely diced
4 large broccoli florets - stems peeled and diced, florets broken up into small pieces
3 green onions - chopped finely
3 large cloves garlic- minced finely
1/3 red pepper - diced finely
2 handfuls baby spinach - roughly chopped
4 eggs
14 large shrimp - peeled, deveined, and cut into fourths and seasoned lightly with salt and pepper.


3 T. Sesame oil
1 T. Canola oil
Salt 
Pepper
Crushed Red Pepper to taste
Sesame seeds
1/4 to 1/3 cup soy sauce



1. Chop and prepare all ingredients, making sure to keep everything the same size.
2. Heat up Canola oil and 1T. of sesame oil in deep skillet.
3. Add Carrot, broccoli, white of green onion. Saute 1 Minute, stirring frequently.


4. Add red pepper and garlic. Saute until slightly soft, stirring frequently.


5. Add spinach and cook until wilted.


6. Remove vegetables and set aside.


7. Add 1 T. Sesame oil to pan.
8. Add Shrimp and red pepper flakes. Saute until lightly pink and fully cooked.


9. Remove from pan and set aside.
10. Add last of sesame oil.
11. Pour in scrambled eggs and cook until firm.


12. Add back vegetables, shrimp, and cooked rice. Stir everything together.


13. Turn off heat.
14. Add soy sauce and stir to coat.
15. Pour into serving dish and enjoy.
