Tonight Fox aired the final four episodes of Arrested Development - all together in one lump sum so as to quickly get rid of its obligation to the show's fans. Never mind that they decided to air it against the opening ceremonies of the Olympics. I missed the first two episodes because I got off work over an hour late and sat in line at the

maybe the public just cant stand behind comedies unless there's a laugh track. i watched all four. i didnt know the series was being cancelled. i wasnt a regular watcher, but i've seen a fair share. i didnt take the comment at the end as an allusion that they'd make a movie out of it, it just seemed like the perfect oppurtunity to throw in that particular ironic joke. it would definitely make for a strange film.

the superbowl commercial for Vendetta got me interested.

I don't know if it's the fact that it doesn't have a laugh track. I think maybe it's sitcoms that choose to not have a laugh track tend to be appealing to a narrower population than traditional sitcoms, by their nature. But I never really thought about how poor the track record is for comedies without a laugh track until you mentioned that. Although, I have no idea how The Office and My Name is Earl are doing in the ratings
