New York Anime Festival!!!!

So my adventure to the city with Ursuline people :D Alexa and I waited in my dad's car for a good hour and a half because my sister and her anime club had to take a taxi and a bus to get to the train station. Then apparently they left Nicole on the bus so we had to catch a later train. (I felt bad for Nicole for she had to run and find out where the train station was...) As we waited I wanted to change into my first made costume, Amulet Spade (Shugo Chara!), but the bathroom was locked...so I changed right in the station :D And then after 5 minutes or so...the bathroom was unlocked...D< So then we took the train to Grand Central, then had to wait to take the subway because our Metro Cards were being retarded so we had to get new ones. Once we reached the city, we walked for such a long time trying to figure out where the freakin Jacob Javits Center was...it was horrible. We ran like idiots through the city xD (And I saw a man with no legs in a wheelchair which made me want to cry ._.) We reached the festival around 6 o'clock. We got our badges and such but then Alexa misplaced her badge so Charrisse, Alexa and I tried to find it while the others left without us... Then apparently Alexa found that she stuck her badge in her map...xD; We all then went down the escaltor and can I say that I was in shock. I never expected a con to be like that xD So many booths and panels and I was completely overwhelmed. I didn't buy anything possibly BECAUSE I was overwhelmed xD;;; Afterwards, we all went to the masquerade but we didn't stay that long D: The ones that I did see didn't make any sense to me whatsoever...(except I liked the Bleach one even though I'm not into Bleach...) We left the festival around 8:15-ish and we all took taxis. The president of the Ursuline anime club and I were in a taxi together because we were the last ones xD; We discussed about how Geneon is no longer distributing DVDs and such topics. Then we were waiting a really long time on the train because we were early and it wasn't going to leave for like another 30 minutes to my surprise. Alexa, Charrisse, Nicole, and I sat next to each other and were looking at our free stuff 8D We got to the station around 9:45 and my dad picked us up. We dropped off Alexa and Nicole's parents picked her up from our house. Such a very eventful day. I think I'll remember more of how we GOT to the festival rather than the actual festival xD;

free t-shirt(s) [I stole one by accident xD;] and admission refund (so basically we went on Saturday for free :D
volunteer duty consisted of showing where the clear booths to buy tickets were, working at panels (aka watching 3 episodes of School Rumble and 1 episode of Burst Angel), lookinglikea13yearoldcutie♥, welcoming people to the Kobun Shizuno panel & the Voltaire concert, making sure no one entered the Tokyopop stage as Unicorn Table was rehearsing [/end volunteer work]
met a new friend Anne :D she's a 15-year old asian who's in a school where not a single soul knows about anime
WENDEE LEE (Haruhi [The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya] was like IN THE SAME ROOM AS ME. I SERIOUSLY ALMOST DIED WHEN I FIGURED OUT WHOSE VOICE THAT WAS
got autographs from Veronica Taylor (original English voice of Ash Ketchum [Pokemon]!!!) and Tom Wayland (Reanne's father [Magical Doremi & Minimew/R2000 [Mew Mew Power])
they signed on my new Pikachu bag 8DDDDD
Veronica signed on one of Pikachu's cheeks
Tom signed on Pikachu's butt...xD
oh yeah. I forgot to mention that before I started my volunteer shift, I saw a gigantic warehouse where those who came early to the con stayed...it was huge...(Hug a wall!!)
ACQUIRED SO MUCH FREE STUFF IT'S NOT EVEN FUNNY
I GOT MORE FREE STUFF THAN WHAT I ACTUALLY BOUGHT
IT IS FASCINATING
all the stuff that I bought is extremely rare...aka out of print stuff by Tokyopop!!!
and all the manga that I bought was liekomgcheap
I bought the rest of those "Meet Sailor [Mars/Venus/Jupiter/Mercury]" books in which I've been looking for forever
I now have them all!
All four of those books cost me $20 (original cost was $12.95 EACH)
Charrisse surprised me about bought KODOCHA VOLUME 10 for $6
I only need volume 4 and 5 to finish off my collection
Also got the last volume of Flower of the Deep Sleep for only $8 (original price $10)
ONE PERSON ACTUALLY KNEW WHO I WAS DRESSED UP AS
AND TOOK A PICTURE OF ME :DDD
I also drew a sketch in about 5 seconds
and put a corner in my hat so it covered my face
and I put my deviantart account on there

got a free light as Anne, Alexa, Charrisse, and I waited for the Unicorn Table concert

we got seats that were close to the stage (but not as close as the VIP seats)
as we waited for the concert, cosplayers break-dancing was amazing xD

I've never screamed so much in my entire life...
went home and snuck into my house while my dad was asleep :D;

But I would have to say, this has been the best weekend of my life ^__^
(I've practically lost all my dignity this weekend xD;)
