Just a quick couple of notes mostly for my reference.

Yesterday in the Department meeting we went over the annual budget and it nearly doubled due to the presence of my Program.

Yikes.

I'm one of 3 professors who has a one-year contract. That means the others get at least 2 months off. And I can't do anything about it unless they let me teach

10-month contracts mean that you don't get paid for those two months, though...

The college has it set up where you can get paid over a 10 or 12 month period depending on your preference. Being 10 and spreading it over 12 is less per pay check but it gives you a sense of "2 months paid vacation"
