i just got a new camera. i've been having enough fun with my canon elph that i thought it was time to move onto a dSLR. unlike my sister, i never took photography in high school, so this will be a learning experience. i have set up a flickr account for the pictures i end up trying to get fancy with; otherwise the pictures will still be available on

DUDE. Astrophotography! I haven't ever used a dSLR, but I love my little old film camera for that. I'm totally jealous. There's so much experimentation involved in astrophotog - it would be totally awesome to be able to see the images right away. It's either a huge disappointment or an early Christmas getting a roll of astro film back.
