I agree with all of this (including seeing Harry/Ginny back in book 2. I wish it was developed a bit more a bit earlier in the series, but know that Ginny had to grow on her own as well.)

That is also completely true, and I am going to openly admit that I cheered when the two of them kissed in volume seven. :) It's just that from the literary angle, their relationship has its share of problems.

There were a couple things I didn't like about the movie when I first watched it. I am a die hard fan, and of course the movie differs from the books. BUUT when I watched it again, I decided all the scenes I didn't agree with, actually turned in to my favorite. I enjoy the books for what they are, so its nice to have a different perspective of the story.

Also, the only real problem I had was why didn't Peter Petigrew die?

Yes, this is the kind of "different perspective" which I enjoy seeing. :) It's stays true to the spirit of the story while tweaking it a little for various reasons. ;)

That's a good question! :D My guess is that they want to do it in a way which emphasizes the "debt" Dumbledore mentioned that Wormtail owns Harry. I'm interested in how it will turn out - I doubt he will survive the second part, no matter what events will take place there.

Ah, so you liked it, too, that has been the overall verdict I've been hearing. Really need to go and see it soon. =)

Not really informed about/involved in the big shipping wars either, just heard some people complain about a drawn-out Harry/Hermione kiss - only they didn't view it as upsetting but as the director's personal little fantasy shoved in out of spite. Oh dear. :'D

There is one advantage to seeing it a bit later: You can save yourself from the rush of people. ;) Really, I haven't seen such a crowd at the movies since quite a while - although I admittedly don't go there too often.
