Looking back...

I recently saw this banner at the top of the Slayers community about a two-weeks Paid Account trial... so I guessed Livejournal might have less of those than they would like. Well, for at least a year, they have one more now... :)
This decision made me think back on the time I spent and still spend on this site since I finally registered three years

LJ is evil. It sucks in even the most unsuspecting and unwilling... and never lets you go. Tried leaving some years ago, didn't work.

So your being here is nice for us, but maybe less of a cause for celebration for you. ;)

It really is a nice way of keeping tabs on people. I still prefer it to sites like Twitter or Facebook. Can you imagine trying to fit a Slayers discussion within the character limitation in Twitter? o_O

Glad you finally "converted" though, since message boards seem to come and go, but it's nice being able to stay in contact with people regardless of the fandoms they came from.

Oh, we did know each other since much longer. I am not sure where we met originally, but I don't think it was on the forums... maybe on fanfiction.net?
