What we have here is the top 106 books most often marked as "unread" by LibraryThing's users. As in, they sit on the shelf to make you look smart or well-rounded. Bold the ones you've read, underline the ones you've read for school, italicise the ones you started but didn't finish.

Instead of doing all that formatting, I counted - I've read 34 of them, and failed to oomplete one. Also, I have not even heard of about 40 of them. And the rest didn't appeal - and probably never will. I have no deire to read "Satanic verses" for example.
