I particularly like the bit about requiring coverage for pre-existing conditions. Generally people who become very sick can't afford to go shopping for insurance, and if we were to switch a private system a lot of them would be left in the lurch. I also like the idea of a tax credit for small businesses that provide employee insurance, and the plan for oversight of competition among insurance companies.
That said, I'm aware that McCain's plan includes many of the same points. I am simply afraid that his plan would end by giving employers an easy way out of providing insurance. I'm unclear on how he plans to move us to individual coverage and guarantee universal access at the same time.
Are you familiar with the Palins' associations with secessionist radicals in Alaska? Some of the Palins' affiliated church speakers?
Iran was going to sponsor one of the Secessionist Party leaders to speak before the UN about American Tyranny. Then he got shot by another member of the party (this is, apparently not a fringe movement in Alaska - they elected a governor).
But this connection is hardly getting play in the mainstream, nor is the Obama campaign working it.
