Gaston is awesome because he takes the traditional Hero and subverts him- he should be a good guy, but he expects and takes what he wants instead of earning it. He's like a warning to all us young ladies that that guy, that guy over there who doesn't get why you like reading, will probably try to hold your Dad hostage until you agree to marry himrufie you later tonight.
