The waiting is getting to be right annoying. Waiting for someone, anyone, to call saying I've got a job (but, on the other hand, my dad finally admitted that my chances of getting a job when RI has a 15% unemployment rate are slim at best...it was an odd moment because when I got back from AB he was irate I'd spent so much on it with no job to come ( Read more... )

*crosses fingers for the car! & the job*

If you're having trouble getting a job in RI... have you tried MA at all? (Does your dad still live close enough to MA for that to work?)

My parents are already threatening me about not letting me go on the Maine trip again. :( Because I must tutor my sister, it seems. So not cool, wtf. I am working on them about letting me go, of course, but I figured I'd let you know.

Homemade dvds? Are they data discs or are they for real -- able to play on regular dvd players -- dvds? And if so... what program do you use? I have so much media I'd like to get on dvds but I haven't put out for a program just yet. (Not to mention my computer is fucked up something awful at the moment. Spyware, fuck my life. I'm probably going to have to take it to Best Buy or something to get fixed. & This just turned out to be a long ramble without me even meaning it to, whoops. :P)

Yeah, I'm applying in MA too, but both states have a horribly depressing unemployment rate. A lot of the places I've applied are already fully staffed. Aaah. Hopefully, when I get the car, I can hire out to do farm stuff, like taking care of peoples' horses when they go on vacation. It's miserable, manual labor, but it pays and I'm already good at it.

Oh for the love of all things holy. Sigh. Why does Kiki need tutoring? I thought she was into the public school system all good and well. Bugger bugger bugger. What is their issue with letting you have a good time. Plus I kinda wanted to introduce you to Dustin. XP

Yeah, they're still the special DivX DVDs for my special DVD player because a) I can fit entire seasons onto two DVDs so it cuts down on how many blank DVDs I have to buy and b) I figured out how to hook the DVD player up to the TV, so even better! (Poor compy. D: Hope it feels better soon. Do you have insurance for it or a warantee?)

Rocky, you should just approach them like that girl (or guy) in your icon, and then I think your problems would cease.

...waiting for the RAIN to stop FUCKING. RAINING. all the time.

I find that without school life can be shockingly boring if you don't really work on making it otherwise. You've done an admirable job of making your summer enjoyable, though. How was Pushing Daisies? I've heard great things about that show.

...Okay. Now it's flooding. Now I am really pissed. Now I am really considering closing the window.

UGH, NO KIDDING.

Ha ha, you call it admirable, my family calls it sad. Pushing Daisies was so damn cute. Really cute. And Vogler from House is in it and he's wicked cool. Plus, it's like watching a storybook. The colors! The sets! The silliness of it all coupled with the more serious themes. And there are good recurring themes.

Close the window. Wet floors don't make anyone happy.
