I know my favorite author always said that he wrote because his charecters screamed for their stories to be told. It was like a poison that needed to be purged from his mind onto the paper, and it would not let him rest until it was completed.
That's the side of writing that you never hear about, isn't it? I bet every single author who ever wrote anything has asked himself/herself these same questions. I'm sure they have all had moments like that -- anyone who struggles to but their heart down on paper will come up against these questions now and then. Sometimes more often

But if these questons are for you, then I think that you are being to hard of yourself. It will come to you, I have some of your stories and they are beautiful.
I have read interviews with some writers who confess to just these same feelings. And there are others for whom such questions are completely irrelevant
