Read HBP- and we finally got lucky with something Harry Potter related!

The bookstore opened at seven, so we went there at six thirty, but we arrived there seventh... they said they'd give collectible bookmarks to the first 5 people, so we felt a bit bad that we just missed out. Anyway, we got our copy, and then Guy #6 came up to us, asked if we ( Read more... )

so if Snape was on the good side, wouldn't he have preferred to die, rather than kill Dumbledore?
No no. He was trying to save Draco. He waaaas. Protecting Draco and Narcissa was his priority because he cared about them. See, he can't be evil if he cares about people. And if he didn't kill Dumbledore, one of the other DEs would have anyway. *nods* I refuse to believe Snape is bad until the books explicitly say so. *goes off to wallow in denial some more*

We didn't like the way Hermione used Cormac
Heh I don't think Cormac minded much. ;)

We wonder though, where that leaves the ship... a bit further on then before, we think, although perhaps in rougher waters
Yup yup. I think HBP is definitely beneficial to Dramione. At least the opposition can't say Draco is nothing but a bully and has no redeemable qualities anymore. Now if only Draco and Hermione would interact more...

I got sick of all the romance as well. It just didn't seem to fit properly. Like it was thrown in there just for the sake of it.

Dramione in Madam Malkin's. Not only did he only insult her there but it was in front of his mum. To perhaps keep up appearances? *grin*

We've been thinking about that.. how Draco said he'd send flowers to the person who blacked her eye... of course, Hermione blacked her own eye, didn't she, squeezing that telescope? hehehehe :D

We wonder if you find it weird that all Dramione shippers squeed when they read that Draco called her a Mudblood, hehehe. Zarah wrote it in her little notebook, we also took notes about it, hehehe. Perhaps any interaction is good interaction? hehe

Better than D/G anyway, *snicker*

Yay for the Dramione bits! The forum's opening on the 18th, and my goal is to compile all the new Dramione subtext ...

As for Snape, I think Dumbledore would rather Snape do it than Draco. First off, other DEs were coming, so Albus was dead either way. Secondly, by having Snape kill Albus instead of Draco, that might have helped prevent Draco from swaying to the dark side.

Please don't let Snape really be on Voldemort's side! Please!

Yun, you're right though, Dumbledore would have preferred to die, rather than Draco die... but... why did Snape have such a look of hatred on his face? You made us think though...

we're going to post loads of questions we have about the book on our LJ. Think about them, allright? :D

Thanks for telling us the forum would open on the 18th. MC said it would open the 19th, which is the 20th for us here. Of course, we have an exam on the 20th, so we don't know when we'll post...

why did Snape have such a look of hatred on his face?

I can think of a couple of reasons. He hated Albus for making Severus kill him. He hated himself for killing the man who he saw as a mentor.

And in case you didn't know: SCUSA is open!!!

I'm like...ahh! I still trust Snape...kind of. I trust that he still wants Voldemort gone. That's about it.
And I trust that while JKR will not let Dramione get together, THE SHIP WILL NEVER DIE! NEVER! Because Dramione are meant for each other. Because I say so.
And...I also guessed Dumbledore would die, though I did think it would be in the seventh book (until I heard someone died in this one). Which stunk, and I went in denial and tried to believe that Ron or Hagrid would die (though sad, not as devastating to me). UGH! *goes to brood*

Yay! I must get one of those "I trust Snape" icons...
One of my friends is "sort of" into Dramione, but it's not her OTP. I'm going to make her read Tripzy's outline, then she should convert (she already likes D/G so it's a short trip to D/Hr).
I would be extremely sad if Hagrid or Ron died, even if they did die doing something heroic, but not as sad/angry as I am about Dumbledore. Just because Dumbledore is almost god-like in the books, a good and just god whom you'd want to believe would be there forever.
I think most D/Hr shippers love the ship more than any one character. It's just the way we are. lol
