I have been badmouthing Twitter and Tumblr for AGES, y'all. I laughed at people who used either of those networks, bragged about how I wouldn't touch either of them with a 10-foot internet tube, and was so perplexed as to why anyone would care about tweeting or tumbling.

I say post whatever you feel like. I've always seen LJ as a "whatever's on your mind" kind of place. Fandom, politics, tech stuff, work stuff, life stuff. If it's something I don't care about, I'll just skim over it. I expect most people will do the same.

I sort of understand Twitter, but I still don't get Tumblr. But I guess I don't need to.
