Hurricane in Catalonia

Yesterday there was a massive storm here, with winds so high that walking was slow and arduous. During the night, the rattling and whistling drowned out even the crazy lady upstairs (though thankfully my earplugs blocked out most of both); here on the 6th floor the winds were very strong. That's crazy! I'm glad you're alright! My parents (who were worried about you), said that apparantly an apartment building was destroyed somehow!

Yeah, our building shook a bit, but I didn´t know I should be worried -- it wasn´t like an earthquake or something I´d know to be afraid of. Just wind, right ...?

Wow, I wasn´t aware of the dangers of high winds; to me wind mostly seems unpleasant but harmless. But I guess I haven´t lived someplace with wind like this before (and also these old, unstable buildings that would be condemned instantly in CA).
