Sigurd finds Luserina to be a diamond in the rough. She's not at all like any noble he has ever dealt with in his life. And that's what makes her appealing as a friend to him. He hopes one day she will rub off on her brother, as obnoxious as he is.

Sigurd fancies Bernadette in much the same way he finds himself fancying Geddoe, which also frightens him a bit. He knows that even being friends with her is a stretch, so rather than waste her time with a useless asexual man, he is content just to be a close companion.

He admires her knife throwing technique, actually recognizing a good portion of her style. They use the same style of throwing knives too. Coincidence? Maybe. But it's definately something they can converse on.

No seriously, Cecile is a bright young lass that almost makes Sigurd feel young again. She reminds him of a corruption free military attitude that is pure, right, and just. And he never wants her to lose that. Anyone that threatens that essence will meet an unpleasant end at his hands if he can help it.

No, seriously, Hervey is Sigurd's blood brother. Those two have been through more shit together in ten years than most of us accomplish in a life time. It's especially amazing given they started out on opposite ends of the law, but amazing circumstances usually lead to amazing friendships and therefore you get the product that is my favorite Chimou/Chiki partnership. Their dynamic is so much more interesting.

Sigurd has the utmost respect for Lucas. He believes the boy is a fine leader and one of the most remarkable men he has ever met in his life. As such, he still feels it is his duty to serve him in some manner, though their agreement has long ended.

Sigurd feels Lucas could do one of two things. He can inherit Obel and thusly the Federation from Lino and lead it into a shining era of prosperity. Or, he can inherit the Pirate King crown from Lady Kika and ensure freedom in the seas away from politics. Either way, he hopes Lucas remains true to himself.
