[ LOG ] Redemption. Sigurd and Graham Cray

Feb 04, 2008 20:59

Cray: *After a few days of being out cold he finally started to come back to consciousness. Suddenly feeling the pain from the large cuts on his chest he groaned and opened his uninjured eye*

Sigurd: Try not to move, Cray -Sigurd spoke calmly, mortering an herbal balm beside Cray's bed that was going to go on his eye. Sigurd had expected him to wake up at this point, so he wanted to be the one to apply the medicing...he needed to talk to the man-

Cray: *he remained still as told, he wasn't able to see very well yet, with one eye blinded and the other one blurry at best* ... Who's there...?

Sigurd: Don't recognize my voice, eh...It's Sigurd. -he said coldly, still mixing the medince- Former enemy, battle ally, and now your current nurse.

Cray: Heh imagine that... you tending to my wounds? I'd have thought you'd sooner stab me...

Sigurd: The temptation is there, don't agitate it... -Sigurd chuckled, hoping Cray realized the joke- ...fact is, I volunteered for this when I heard you should be waking soon.

Cray: *Surpsied at that* What? You did? You wanted to treat me?

Sigurd: Mostly because I wanted to talk to you....Out there in the battle against the Rune, I wasn't certain what I was looking at... -he set the mortar bowl on the bed table and leaned in to slowly remove the banage over Cray's eye-

Howling Voice108: Cray: Not sure you what you were looking at? What do you mean by that? I was pretty sure we were fighting a giant two headed Rune Incarnation.

Sigurd: I meant you...that wasn't the Graham Cray I knew out there...the man I knew had no honor and no heart...

Cray: Yeah you're right, he didn't. He was a fool who's mind was twisted by a True Rune. Thats what happens to people who loose everything before they're ready. They turn into maniacs with nothing to loose.

Sigurd: ...heh...it's rather nice to hear you say that, Cray. I can hardly believe I'm talking to you like this at all. -having finally removed thee banaged, sigurd took a soaking cloth and dipped in in the medicinal mix, dabbing it on the injured eye gently so as not to aggitate the wound-

Cray: I'm glad you realise I'm not the same person as I was back then... *tenses a little as the medicine contacts with his wound, causing it to sting a bit*

Sigurd: ...well...the history books taught me a lot about you that I never learned living in our own time. And seeing you around Queen and your children...and then seeing you in battle.... -Sigurd let out a long sigh, applying more medicine- I'm sorry that I ever tried to take that away from you, Cray...

Cray: Don't worry about it. You didn't, and that's what matters...

Sigurd: I still feel the guilt, though. Everytime I see your family, I feel the pain that for that instant, I was a monster...

Cray: Nowhere near the monster I was.

Sigurd: -finishes applying the medicine, setting down the bowl and wiping the sweat from his brow- It doesn't matter...no man has the right to rob another of their family.

Cray: *smirks* Hey, you're a pirate, robbing people is what you do.

Sigurd: Robbing the fat wealthy of their possessions is one thing...that was another... -chuckles slightly- But I suppose you're right. I shouldn't dwell on this.

Cray: Yeah, don't. I can see why you wanted to kill me. Heck I'd want to to kill me too.

Sigurd: Well...now I want to make certain you are back on your feet and able to care for your family again. If I can manage that, then I'll have rebeemed myself.

Cray: Thank you... *Sits up now that he's more awake, and the sight in his uninjured eye beginning to clear up*

Sigurd: -places a hand gently on Cray's chest- Easy now, watch your movement. Your wounds can't take much.

Cray: I'm alright... Say you couldn't do me a favour could you?

Sigurd: Depends, what's the favor?

Cray: It's Rekion... no doubt she'll have run off on her own, injured or not. She never lets people tend to her wounds properly... I'd go hunt her down myself....but as you can see, I can't.

Sigurd: Consider it done. Though I've been doing a lot of this patient wrangling lately....first Sialeeds, then Landis, and now Rekion.

Cray: Heh some people are too stubborn for their own good.

Sigurd: You're telling me...anyways, I should get on that. The medicine I gave you should help heal your eye in a manner that will allow it to retain some level of sight.

Cray: That's good. I don't want to be blinded on one side for the rest of my life...

Sigurd: -looks over to Geddoe's bed- It can't be that bad.

Cray: Hm, I suppose, once you're used to it anyway...

Sigurd: -gives Cray a warm pat on the shoulder as he raises himself from the work stool- Alright, heh...I'm off for more rounds...I'll be back to check on you later, okay?

Cray: *nods* Alright. Thanks.
