Actually, at 60-80 pounds overweight, she probably is obese! That's more overweight than I am, and despite my height, I'm definitely over that line.

Oh, she's definitely quite a bit heavier than you. By a fair margin.

Oh, I wasn't getting all offended, just correcting your terminology. That scone is long gone.

I didn't think you were offended. I'm not good at judging weight, but I definitely know that was bigger than you by quite a bit

I had a guy lie to me about his height once. It was so tacky and annoying (and how did he think he'd get away with it)? I don't date people who are shorter than I am, and I will not fucking apologize for it.

Okay, that's just stupid. My guess was that he was hoping that you weren't that serious about height and that once you met him, you'd be able to get past the height thing.

You're not along on the height thing. I really don't get it, but there are a lot of women who have a thing about height. Fortunately for me, while I don't get the extra hotness for being tall, I at least don't get marks against me for being short. I swear, in moving from the Midwest to New York I grew two inches taller.

honestly, I was so annoyed that he had lied about it, that I didn't really give him a chance, personality-wise. The kind of guy who would lie about his height is someone I'm less likely to date than someone who is awesome and shorter than I am.

But he was a lawyer, so what did I expect? :P

I can understand rounding to the nearest inch, but I'm guessing that he did quite a bit more than that.

And a short lawyer? Lying? Yeah, there really is something so amazingly stereotypical about that.

I think I'm going to start a rule like yours-- you don't date anybody shorter than you, my new rules is that I don't date anybody heavier than I. P-)
