Something I noticed while playing the trombone.

Sep 19, 2004 16:56

I noticed my computer screen in the reflection of the brass. The screen was wobbling a bit in the reflection. The lower I played the more the screen wobbled. The higher I played the more the screen focused. Note this was all in the reflection of the brss. I never knew sound waves affected the signals. Someone explain this? I'm looking at you Ethan.

That would make sense if I were talking about the whole reflection. The moving part was specifically the computer screen.

the LONGER the vibration for lower notes. longer wavelength so the screen would wobble (faster than eye can see) in a large area making it look blurry

the SMALLER vibrations came from higher notes so the screen would wobble (faster than you can see) in a relatively small area, therefore making it look clearer.
