Mices are cool.
Though I don't know if I can have pets in my apartment, no matter how small.

amy gave me a link to this post. i MIGHT be able to take them. i have three rats, i wouldn't put them in together, but i'm guessing mice and rats are fairly similar when it comes to taking care of them. just not sure if my mum will a) notice and b) kill me for collecting more animals for my own zoo.

could you tell me a little more about them? like, what you feed them, what kitty crystals you line the cage with, what sex they are, and if they have any vet needs like vaccinations or desexing.

yeah, rats & mice are pretty much the same to take care of i think...

they are both females & as long as you don't put a male in there then you don't need to desex them. also, they don't need any vaccinations that i'm aware of.

they eat mouse pellets (from the pet store, super cheap), plus you can put lil pieces of carrot/lettuce etc in there. they really like cheese & nuts but eating that stuff too often will make 'em fatty mice!

catsan kitty litter crystals cost about $8 for a bag, which will be enough 4 or 5 refills of the cage. each refill lasts about a month. best invention!

okay, i think that's about all i can think of care-wise...hope it helps!

cool. well if ze dude from below doesn't want them, could you comment and let me know? i'd hate them to have to be put down or something. there are some rat and mice communities in WA that might take them too. u should ask the rspca.

alrighty, this is what i wrote to the comment above, it's all the care & feeding stuff that i can think of!

they are both females & as long as you don't put a male in there then you don't need to desex them. also, they don't need any vaccinations that i'm aware of.

responsibility is rad as long as you aren't planning on moving overseas in the next year or so!! actually, i don't know how long mice live...it's not long in the scheme of things...
