1) Spokane has once again made the national news. Isn't it funny that whenever we do so, it's for something hideously awful. This time it's because the Spokane Southhill Raper wants out of jail.

Use http://blogsearch.google.com/ to find out who is talking about professors/researchers that you like. Start reading there and then branching out.

I know this is probably obvious, but I'll say it anyway so I can contribute: Maybe ask your favorite professors in your field who to read...

By academic feild are you talking about Law or English? If you are talking about Law then GU does have a law library. Maybe you could talk to the librarians there or something? They are paid to have information about this type of thing. Good luck with the LSATs, and thanks for the update!
